OUR BELIEFS

As a member of the worldwide church of the Nazarene...

WE BELIEVE in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE that the Old and New Testament Scriptures are inspired by God and contain all the truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

WE BELIEVE that , without a redeeming God, we are all hopelessly and eternally lost.

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ, through his death and resurrection, has atoned for the sin of the whole human race; and that whoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is made right with God, is given new life, and is saved from the dominion of sin. Sometimes this is called “being saved.”

WE BELIEVE that, after being “saved,” believers  should submit themselves fully to the Lordship of Jesus, growing in grace and [becoming like Jesus]. Sometimes this is called being “entirely sanctified.”

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit confirms in our spirit  that we have been forgiven, that we belong to God, and that we are living in obedience to Him.

WE BELIEVE that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.

OUR MISSION

GATHER

Gathering is essential. “The Church” is a community of people who gather for worship and relationship. We Gather to focus on God, study His Word, and discover His calling for our lives. We Gather to learn more about being the people God wants us to be, and loving others the way He wants us to love.

EQUIP

Equipping is preparation: training and learning. Part of our training is understanding how we are uniquely gifted to love and serve, then developing those gifts.

GO

While it’s wonderful to Gather, and essential that we are Equipped, our mission is to GO. Without Going, our mission fails. As we Go, we take the Good News of Jesus outside the walls of our building and into our homes, workplaces, schools, and community. As we Go and develop relationships, God will provide opportunities for us to love our friends and neighbors and invite them into a relationship with Jesus.
