Blowing Up Your Theology:

Old Testament Edition

Six Weeks

Date:  Mondays, Jan. 2-Feb. 6

Time:  6:30 p.m.

Location:  To be determined

Facilitator: Pastor Julie Close

Learning something new about God or his story shouldn't blow up our beliefs, like an explosion, but instead, should expand our understanding like blowing up a balloon.

To read the story of God faithfully, we need to approach it with intention - to understand what we might be bringing to the story that influences how we understand it. In this study, we will use video and discussion to expand our thinking on how to read the Old Testament.  A world renown OT scholar will walk us through how to interpret what is taking place in a way that may challenge us, but will enlarge our understanding and broaden our view of the culture of the ancient Near East.

Register here or by calling the church office on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

Young and middle adulthood can bring many changes that affect friendship. Marriage, no children, young children, teens, recent empty nest to mention a few. Whether you are a loner, a pleaser or someone who lacks boundaries, finding friends who help you be a better you can be a challenge.

Let’s work through some of this together as we enjoy a video-directed study and share a light meal together. Leave or linger… whatever you need during these seven weeks.
